Latest news

Things have been kinda slow around here. I am definately not used to such free time. Although, Cody has football practice every afternoon, I am not affected by that since Lee picks him up before I get home from work. Lee has games on Monday nights, Cody with his school team on Tuesday nights and Sam & Cody's flag football on Saturdays.

In my last post, I mentioned that Brandy applied for a job at my work. Well, Thursday, they made her an offer so she begins on Tuesday. That takes alot of stress off of me since we will carpool and Ashley will have the car to go to band at 6:45 am and then to work afterschool. We will get Sam, Brady, Nate and Alyssa on the bus and then head to Austin. She said that she would drive her car and I can give her $40 every two weeks. That is all it takes to fill up her car. Not a bad deal:}

Friday night I volunteered to watch a friends kids. She has 2 boys, ages 10 & 8 (Devon & Cameron) and the twin girls (Katie & Rylee) who turned 4 on Thursday. We also had Nate stay the night so we had a "Full house". We had a blast!! The girls just loved Lee and the boys. I took one of the mattresses off the boys bottom bunk and put it on the floor in my room for the girls. They were in bed alseep by 10pm. I heard one of them stirring in the middle of night and then heard Lee roll over, reach down and pat her back. It was so sweet!!! He even got up with them Saturday morning. Not sure what time they woke up but when I got up at 7:30 they were all awake and sitting on the couch watching cartoons. She picked them up around 10:30 and the rest of the day was pretty lazy. We went to Dan & Brady's and ate Beef stew. We all thought that it was going to be storming but since it didn't we still enjoyed the homemade beef stew. We ended up playing spades with Dan and Lee against me and Brandy. The men won but not by much. It took me a while to remember how to play since it has been along time. We ended up leaving about 11:30 and then the rain came. Cody and Sam stayed the night over there.

This morning we took Lee to work and headed to Lockhart to Katie & Rylee's birthday party. It was at the park and was a beautiful day. The kids had a blast. We got home around 2:30 and just had a lazy afternoon.

Not much else has happened.

Love ya!
