Are we done yet?

These past two weeks have been busy. We have had All-star practices, tournaments and a houseful of sick people.

We started last Monday with Lee finally getting over his cold. All was fine until 3am Thursday morning when Brady woke us by throwing up everywhere. We got him cleaned up and back to sleep. Lee and I discussed who was going to stay home with him, neither of us wanted to miss work because we both have been so busy lately. We both finally dozed back off when Brady is up again running to the bathroom. We all finally fall asleep and the alarm goes off. Lee leaves for work and I get Sam up and ready for school. I wake Cody to take a shower and Brady is sleeping on the couch. I drive Sam to the bus and come back home. We lay on the couch and doze for about an hour when he throws up again. By this time, there is nothing left in his stomach and he is just miserable. Poor baby. I bring him to our bed and we both sleep for a couple hours. We get up and just chill on the couch until everyone gets home. Sam has an All-star game that night so since Ashley is home from work, she watches Brady. While we were gone, he started feeling better and drove Ashley crazy!

Friday it seems like all is well. Brady goes to daycare and the other kids go to their last day of school. That evening we take the boys swimming and then Cody, Sam and I go to get groceries. We timed it just right so we would be done in time to pick Ashley up from work.

Lee gets up early Saturday morning and goes to work for a few hours before another All-Star game at noon. He gets home around 10:30 and says that he is not feeling well. He runs to the bathroom and then lays on the couch until time to leave. We get to the field and he is feeling miserable. Of course, he wouldn't miss the game for anything, especially since he is a coach. After the game we have to rush home so he doesn't get sick in the van. He sleeps all day. I take the boys swimming and then we just hang around the house. Cody goes to stay at a friends house. I was cruising through the channels on the TV and find "Under the Tuscan Sun". I have never seen this movie, so while Lee is asleep on the couch and the boys are playing, I get to enjoy the movie in almost complete silence. Something that is a rarity for me:)

Sunday we have a game at 1. We win that game and have to be back at the field for a 6 pm game. Lee is finally feeling better. We come home and take a nap and then get ready to leave again. We lose the second game. If we would have won, we would have played on Monday night.

Monday, Cody, Ashley and I are all feeling horrible. Ashley stays home from band camp and sleeps all day. I tough it out at work and afterwards head to get Brady. I met Lee and the boys at CiCi's pizza for Sam's end of the season team party. I take one look at Cody and tell Lee that I am taking Cody home. Lee, Brady and Sam stay and enjoy pizza. Sam gets his trophy from the coach of his old baseball team who is also the all-star coach and everyone leaves. When they get home, Cody and I are on the couch asleep. Neither one of us moved all night unless to go to the bathroom.
Tuesday we were all feeling better.
Wednesday, Sam has practice. He throws up twice while there. He comes home and goes to sleep on the couch. He wakes up around 11 and gets sick again.
Thursday, it seems that we are all done with this nasty virus. In case anyone is wondering, no, we didn't eat any bad tomatoes:)
I have been driving Lee's car to work because it is better on gas and not to mention that it does have air condition. Well, I come home Wednesday after work and parked it. I decide to drive it to get Ashley and it won't start. GREAT!!! We kinda look at it but have no clue. So we leave it and I take the van.
Thursday, I got up at 4am and took Lee to work. We are on summer hours at work so I was getting off at noon. I was supposed to leave work early today but somehow when our supervisors were doing the schedule the didn't realize that we were going to have 3 people out of the office this week for Bumble Bee training in Chicago so we were only going to have 2 people in the office this afternoon. Since I needed to leave early for Sams game on Thursday, I had told my supervisor that I would just take my half day then. Good thing that I did. Anyway, I got off at noon on Thursday and picked Lee up from work. We came home and chilled and then looked at the car again. Finally we decided to call the shop and have it towed in.
I rode to work today with a friend. I talked to the shop and they are pretty sure that it is the fuel filter, but want to check out a few more things to make sure. I am beginning to wonder if we should just bury the poor thing:)
I have applied for a catagory analyst position at work. Not sure if i will get it but i have to try. It is a pay raise and there is alot more work involved but I am ready for the challenge.
We have games at 9am and 1pm tomorrow in Manchaca. It is only about 15 miles from here. The players are all getting new bat bags and batting helmets tomorrow. We have 2 sponsors; McCoys and Southwest Plumbing who have so graciously bought these for the kids. They have also paid for all the tournaments that we are participating in. I will take pictures tomorrow and publish with my next post.
Ok, I have to head out to pick Ashley up from work.
Love ya!!
