These past few weeks have been very busy for us. On Christmas Eve, Betsy and Burlon arrived around 2pm. We mostly just hung around the house and got ready for that night. After we got the boys to bed, I began wrapping presents. Shawn and Travis arrived a little after midnight. We all headed for bed, because we knew the kids would be up early.
Christmas morning, the kids woke us up around 7. The gifts were passed around and the fun began. I don't have any pictures because I was videotaping. The kids had a great Christmas. After the presents were all opened, we all headed (except Burlon) to the playground. We played sniper, hide and go seek and basketball. It was alot of fun. When we returned from the playground, Ashley and Betsy made their famous enchiladas in their matching socks. YUMMY!! We all ate and then took a nap:)
That night we had Burlon take family pictures of us. I know that he must have taken a hundred and in almost everyone, someone was blinking or making a messed up face. Hopefully, there is at least one that turned out OK.
Lee, Ashley and I all had to work the next day so I took Brady to daycare and Cody and Sam stayed here with grandma, grandpa, Travis and Shawn. They went to breakfast and the to Walmart and a few other stores. Everyone left about 2pm. I left work at little early because at lunch I noticed a screw in my tire so, I went to discount tire to have it fixed, after that I picked up Ashley. Lee picked up Brady and we all just chilled that evening.
That Friday, Ashley had to be at the airport at 5am for a 6am flight to NC.(something that Lee or I was not too excited about) Anyway, I got her through security and had to leave her there. They wouldn't let me go to the gate with her. I clocked in to work at 5:54am ( my office is 5 minutes from the airport). Let me tell you that it was a LONG day. I left work at 3pm and came home and took a nap:)
On Sunday, David and Jan brought Ben to stay the week. I got rid of 1 kid and got another. The boys really enjoy when Ben comes. New Years Eve Lee and I both had to work but the daycare closed at 1pm, so Lee got off early to get Brady. I left work and went to Walmart and got groceries. FUN!! After, I cooked dinner we just lounged around and waited for the New Year. Ben had brought some poppers that had confetti in them so instead of going out side in the cold, we let them pop them in the kitchen at midnight. What a mess:) Shortly after we went to bed. Lee got the boys up early the next morning and took them to the playscape in San Marcos. While, I cleaned up the mess from the night before.
On Thursday Lee started feeling bad and by that evening was running a 102 temp. When he runs a high fever, he starts talking in his sleep. I was in the bedroom on the computer when I heard the boys start cracking up. Lee had fallen asleep on the couch and was talking all kinds of crazy mess. He tossed and turned all night. I made him stay home from work on Friday and even called his boss for him. When I got home that night, he was still in bed. The boys said that he got up a few times to get something to drink but that was it. He slept through the night and felt better Saturday morning. We took the kids to the playscape.
Sunday morning, me and the boys picked Ashley up from the airport at 10am and came home. When we got here, David and Jan were here. They stayed a few hours and then left.
Yesterday, Cody and Sam had basketball practice at 5:30 and Brady at 6:30. They are all on different teams. It is good though that all the practices are on the same night. Sam was also complaining yesterday that he didn't feel good and this morning he was running at 103.2 temp. I gave him some Motrin and waited for the doctor's office to open. His appointment was at 10:30. He tested positive for the flu and strep. GREAT!! He is now on two meds and will need to stay home again tomorrow. Hopefully, no one else gets it.
That is all that has happened these past few weeks. I will try to keep this up to date.
Love ya!!
Merry Christmas!!
