Catching up.......

Ok, I know that it has been awhile since I have posted. I will try and catch all that has happened this past month.

Things have been pretty laid back since the boys don't have basketball right now but that is going to change since we just registered Sam to play. Cody is too old to play at the Activity center and Brady just doesn't want to.

Ashley has been working non-stop and getting ready for college in the fall. She has new student orientation on the 9th.

Cody's birthday was the 13th, we had a bbq and he got a bb gun and ammo.

Friday night we all went to see "year one" at the movies. I don't know what I expected since I hadn't even seen the previews for it, but I did not like it. We got home around 11:30 and we had no power. The whole subdivision was out. We got inside and found all of the flashlights and then took blankets and layed in the yard under the stars. It was really peaceful. We finally came back into the house to try and sleep around 1. About 1:30, the power finally came back on.

Last Saturday, we went to the parade in Luling since Lee's bootcamp was marching in it. It was so hot, we had planned to walk around afterward since it was the Watermelon Thump, but decided to head back to San Marcos for some lunch. Carl's Jr. is now a favorite of mine and the kids like it to. A little pricey but good. After lunch, we came home and napped. Later, Brandy and I went to HEB and got brisket and the fixings for dinner. The adults played cards and the kids played the Wii.

Sunday morning, the kids and I went to church. I have been helping with the k-5 class every other Sunday. We went to Jack in the box on the way home. We all decided to go to the pool. The city of Kyle has a pretty big pool with slides and it is only $2-$3 per person depending on age.

This past friday, I was off work, so I cleaned. Friday night, Lee, the boys and I went to the Round Rock Express game. It was soo hot. We left at the top of the 7th inning and stopped on the way home to get something to eat.

Saturday, Lee had another parade in Seguin and took Sam with him. Brady and I got up early and went to Sam's club, Walmart and HEB with Brandy. Afterwards, we spent the afternoon getting things ready for our BBQ. We cooked kabobs on the grilled, had stuffed jalapenos and potato salad. Afterwards we played cards.

This morning the boys and I went to church. We came home and ate lunch and then took a little nap.

I spent the rest of the afternoon cleaning and cooking dinner.
