Our past few weeks.......

Alot has happened since my last post. I seriously doubt I am going to remember everything that has happened the past few weeks. I only got to take 2 pictures before the battery in my camera died, so I have none to share. I know, I know, I am a BAD mother:) The battery is one that has to be charged and I forgot to charge it Christmas eve. I am hoping that since Betsy took pictures, she will send some to me:)

It is hard to believe that Christmas has come and gone and another year is getting ready to begin.

The last week of school for the kids was busy with Christmas parties and basketball for Cody.

Last week, I only worked Monday and Tuesday and have been off for the last 5 days. I am now ready to go back to work tomorrow. This week I only work Monday and Tuesday again and then will be off again for 5 more days.

Sunday night me and the boys went to Brandy's. We decided that we were going to make gift bags for the bootcampers since they don't get anything for Christmas. We decorated 142 bags but it didn't take long because we had all of the kids helping.

Tuesday night we had a Christmas service at church and I got my whole family to go with me. It was so much fun. Afterwards, we stopped by Whataburger for dinner and then brought the kids home. Lee and I went and did some of the last minute Christmas shopping.

On Christmas Eve, Brandy and I ran some errands and then got busy making cookies and snacks for that evening. Betsy, Burlon and Travis came and we spent the evening at Brandy's. We had a white elephant gift exchange with some random gifts that we had bought at the dollar store. It was hilarious!! We picked up all kinds of funny gifts like magic tricks, a tape measure, screwdrivers, calendars and other goofy things. Everyone chipped in and helped put all of the goodies in the bags for the bootcampers. Since we represent MARs at work now, I had gotten so many bags of snickers, twix, milky way and Ghirardelli chocolates donated. We only had to buy the candy canes. I wish we would have started planning it earlier, we could have gotten so much more for their gift bags. I will be better prepared next year. Lee took the bags up to work later along with a few of the christmas tubs for the staff that we had filled. When he got back, the adults played hearts while the kids just hung out.

Christmas day we were up early to see what Santa had brought. Ashley and Betsy made enchiladas for lunch and since Brandy and her family have no family in Texas, I invited them to came and eat with us. Burlon was not feeling well so they left around 4 and headed home. Lee and I took a nap and just rested the rest of the evening. Ashley went over to her friends house.

Friday, Lee had to work so I did some cleaning. When he got home, me and the boys went to get groceries. I took them to Gamestop because they all had money that they couldn't wait to spend. We got pizza for dinner and came home. Later, we went to Brandy's and the adults played cards while the kids watched a movie.

Saturday, we got up early and took the boys to get haircuts. Cody has decided that he wants to let his hair grow a little longer so we didn't make him get a haircut. We took a nap and then Lee went to the court to play basketball with the boys. I did some more cleaning. Lee and I took the boys to Brandy's around 7 and we went to dinner at Chili's. After dinner we went to Half price book store. When we got to Brandy's we had cake for Nate's Birthday. We came home and got comfortable and read our new books. I went and picked up Ashley from her friends around 11.

Today, Lee had to work again so Brady and I got ready for church and Brandy picked us up. After church we went to HEB and then came home. I have been doing some serious cleaning today. The dogs lay on the back of the couch and look out the windows, well, I pulled the couch out and vacuumed. It is amazing what you find under the couch. I also cleaned the windows because of doggy drool. I had to use a scrubber to get the dried doggy drool off of the windows. It was so gross!

We have finished dinner and I have already cleaned the kitchen so I am now going to get comfortable and read some more of my book.

I will try to write more in a few days.
