On Halloween, the guys and kids met us in Buda at the McDonalds. We ate dinner and then went to Cabella's for "Trunk or Treat". Brandy's church was sponsoring it. The kids played little games and got lots of candy. Afterwards, we went to another neighborhood and walked the kids around for a while. We came home and walked over to a neighbors. Her brother works for Lee and he wanted us to bring the kids by. They had made popcorn balls and candy apples. The kids really racked up.
Finally, football has ended for Cody. We finished up last week with their final game. They only won one game this season but they all had fun. Monday night Cody's last game was at 5:30. Brandy and I met Lee, Dan and the kids there. After the game, Lee headed to work to get the bootcampers ready for their last game at 9. Brandy, Dan, the kids and I went to the game.
Tuesday, Brandy and I met everyone at Ben's last game. Brady fell asleep at 7:30 on the way home and slept until 6:15 the next mroning. No matter what I did, I couldn't get him to wake up, not even to eat. School just wears him out:)
Thursday and Friday, Cody and Ben had basketball tryouts. They will find out sometime this week if they made it. I don't think Cody will have any problems, but you never know.
Friday night, Betsy, Burlon and Travis came to watch Ashley's last marching band show at the football game. They played during halftime and they announced all the seniors. When the seniors names we called, they all walked to the front of the field. I videotaped it and when it was over, Brady asked me why I was crying. I was so sad that my baby girl is a senior. We left shortly after halftime, and came home. We ate and watched a movie.
Saturday morning, Lee and I got up early because we had to go to a funeral of a lady that worked at the bootcamp with Lee. I also worked with her at Walmart a few years ago. She has always worked 2 jobs. She had a heart attack at the bootcamp last Monday and although Lee and another guy performed CPR, they weren't able to save her. It was a very sad situation.
After the funeral we came home. Burlon, Travis, Cody and Sam had gone to the flea market. Cody and Sam (with grandpa's money) bought Ashley a really cool necklace for her birthday. Can you believe that she is 18? She left about 2 and went to lunch with some friends and then to the skating rink. We decorated Brandy's house with a banner and balloons and all of the kids made her cards. Brandy and I made her lasagne for dinner. Her and her friends got there about 7:30 and we ate. She then opened all of her gifts and cards. Dan was so funny, he bought her a little mercedes match box car and told her that was all he could afford right now. Brady got her a teddy bear. I told her that she wasn't getting anything right now since i am paying $4oo for her class ring and $300 for her band trip. We had cake and sang her Happy Birthday. They left and met some other friends at the movies. The adults played cards until about 11:30 and then we came home. Ashley got here around 1 and we went to bed.
This morning, Lee went in to work at 7am. On his way, he dropped Ashley off at work. I got up at 8:45 and took a shower. I finally decided to go to church with Brandy. Me and the boys went and we left for church at 10:15. I really enjoyed the service and I plan on making this a regular routine. Lee is supposed to go with me next Sunday. I believe that we may have found our church. After church, I came home and cleaned as usual. I cooked dinner and the rest of the evening was spent getting things ready for the week.
It should be a restful week since we have no more football.
Hope all is well.
Love ya!
Merry Christmas!!
