Saturday, Lee had a red ribbon event so he was up early. He came home around 9am and we took the boys to get haircuts. The boys game was at 2. After the game we went to Furr's and then they left to go home. Saturday night, we went over to Dan and Brandy's and had brisquit. We played spades until about 12 and then headed home.
Sunday was a lazy day with the usual cleaning.
The week was filled with football games and practice. Cody had a game on Monday in Lockhart so Brandy and I went straight to that after work. Lee also had a game on Monday so he didn't get to go to Cody's. Cody made me so proud that night. There was no time left on the clock and the other team had the ball at the 3 yard line. Cody grabbed hold of the player with the ball and slung him to the ground before he could make it to the endzone. My little man saved the game. We won 20-18. That was the most aggressive that he has gotten all season. When we got home from the game, Dan was vaccuming out his truck. He had taken Brady to HEB with him and Brady threw up all over it. YUCK!! Brady then fell asleep and slept until morning.
Tuesday morning, I took Brady to Dan's because he said that there was no sense in me or Lee missing work when he was home all day. That evening, Brandy's son had a game in Austin, so we headed over there after work. Lee met us there with the kids. It was a good game but the 8th grade team lost.
Friday night, Brandy gave me highlights and I colored her hair. We laughed so hard!!
Saturday, the boys game was at 5. Afterwards they got their trophies. The fall carnival began at 6 at the same place so we stayed there and let the kids play the games. We left there around 8 and went over to Dan and Brandy's. We had both chipped in and got the stuff to make chili and had it in the crockpot while we were at the game. We played cards and would have been home fairly early but Brandy and I won the second game and the men wanted a rematch. Of course they beat us again but at least we can say we finally won a game, besides, they have to take us to dinner because they bet us we couldn't win:)
Sunday, I cleaned all day.
Ashley has switched jobs, she went back to the Mexican restuarant that she worked at last year. It is only 6 miles from here. She is not very happy about it, but I worry so much about her driving 15 miles of nothing but interstate to work at Taco Bell. I told her that she could just not work at all and enjoy her senior year but she likes having her own money too much. This has enabled her to be home more and we really enjoy her being around. She goes with us to Dan and Brandy's and hangs out. We hadn't realized until recently, how much time she spent away from home.
Ok, for those of you that haven't seen the family pictures, here are a few:
Cody had a sneezing fit before his picture so he looks a little funny. I love the picture of Ashley and Brady. The pictures turned out real well.
I think I have caught every one up on all that has happened.
Love ya!
