football, visitors and family pictures

Monday night Lee had a football game at 9pm. I waited for Ashley to get home from band practice and then me, Cody and Sam went. We got home a little after 10pm and they headed to bed.
Tuesday night, Cody had a game. He played very little and it was very discouraging to me because I know that he is better than most of those kids out there. He just won't show the coaches what he is really made of. They rearranged the teams and now he is on B team which means he will probably get to play more so that is a good thing.
Wednesday and Thursday evenings we didn't have anything to do so we just chilled.
Friday, Lee and I both took the day off. I got up that morning and got the kids off to school and then came home and went back to sleep. When we woke up, we watched a little TV and then went to lunch. We had a $10 gift card to Applebee's so we ended up only paying $13. It was nice to spend some quality time together alone. It has been way to long. We then went and picked up some snacks for the kids for afterschool and then came home and took a nap. That evening while Lee was at football practice with the boys, Brandy, Allisa, Brady and me went to Sam's club and got a few things. After that we came home and chilled.
Saturday morning we got up and went and had family pictures taken. We took them at the very front of the entrance to the subdivision where there are rocks. While we were there, Betsy and Burlon pulled up. They brought us a dresser and chest of drawers from Aunt Jeananne. THANK YOU!!! We came home and unloaded them and then left the house at noon to go to the boys football game. After the game, Betsy and Burlon left to go home and we came home and took a nap. After nap, we went to Brandy and Dan's and made lasagna. Brandy and I walked over to Holly's (she took the pictures) and she showed us them on the computer. We had taken a family picture, one of Lee and I,one of the kids together and then them separately. For the most part they all turned out really well. The individuals of the kids looked great. She is going to put them on a disk for me and then I will upload some of them here. After that, we watched a movie and then the grownups played spades. Of course, the guys beat us again:)
Today, I got the furniture in its place and got all of the clothes in there. I need to take the old dresser that is close to 20 years old to the dumpster. It is not worth keeping. I did the usual cleaning and cooked dinner. I even mowed the lawn while Lee was cleaning out the closet (going through his books). So, we have had a very busy weekend and believe it or not, I am ready to go back to work tomorrow.
Not much else has happened.
Love ya!!

Wendy and I laugh on your comments "we didn't do much" and then proceed to tell us about more things you did in one day than most do in a week. You are one busy family! Sounds like you have some very special friends. What a blessing that is!
