We have been busy with basketball practice and games. All of the boys are doing really well.
Last Saturday night we went to see Chronicles of Narnia, Prince Caspian. We went to the $2 theater in San Marcos. I had totally forgot about it until I was in Walmart on Friday night and I overheard some ladies talking about it. Anyway, we took all the boys and Joey and Ben. Two of the boys friends. We went to the 9:25 movie and didn't get home until midnight. It was a great movie. The theater has $.50 Tuesdays so we may make a habit of going.
This past Friday, we went to see the Round Rock Express. A guy that I work with has season passes and gave me 5 tickets because he knows that the boys are so into sports. I rode to work with my friend and Lee came and picked me up at 5. We drove to Round Rock and stopped at Whataburger for dinner. We arrived at the field at about 6:45 and found our seats. During the 2nd inning we walked over to the season pass seats to find Big Mike (we call him that because he is 6'7 and weighs over 300lbs), Lee and the boys have never met him so I introduced them to him and Dave, another guy from work. Since the people that have season passes that sit in front of him weren't there, he told us to sit there. We were right behind home plate. The boys just love "Big Mike" and told him thank you for the tickets. Friday night was Fireworks night so we stayed until they were over and headed home. We got home about 11:30.
Saturday, our games didn't start until 12 so we left the house at 11:30. We had a game at 12, 1 & 2. Afterwards, we came home and took a nap. Lee took the boys swimming while I cleaned a little and cooked dinner. Cody and Sam went to stay at Ben and Nate's. So, Brady, Lee and I just chilled. Ashley had worked from 8am to 3pm then had a band thing at school. She got home around 6 and then left again with a friend. She got home around 10:30.
Today, we did some cleaning and the yard work and took the boys swimming. Lee and I continue to work out. We pulled the exercise bike out of the bedroom and into the living room and faithfully take turns riding it. Lee's work is doing the "biggest loser" and he had a weigh in on Friday and has lost a total of 18 lbs. Looks like he may win the pot of $90. I am so envious:) Why is it that men lose weight faster than women?
We are starting to get things ready for the big campout on Friday. We will leave around 6am and head to Arkansas. We should meet up with Betsy and Burlon near Texarkana since it is the same distance for the both of us. We are all getting excited.
We have been wondering what we were going to do with Brady afterschool. I didn't want to have to pay afterschool care and I don't think that he is mature or old enough to come home with Sam. Lee said that he could be home by 3:30 when Sam and Brady got home but we really can't count on that. Well, Ben and Nate (Cody & sam's friends)their dad was in the Army for 12 years and is medically disabled because of his back and knees, he said that Brady could go over there after school and he refuses to let us pay him anything. I told him that I would provide snacks since Brady comes home from daycare now and has to have a snack. Brady is real excited and Dan & Brandi (their parents) just love the boys to death. Talk about a relief:)
I will make my last payment to daycare on the 15th and it is kinda bittersweet. We are looking forward to the extra $400 per month but now realize that our last "baby" is growing up. I know that we won't have an extra $400 per month because Ashley is going into her senior year and will need pictures, a classring, and all the good stuff seniors get, but I can at least say that we don't have to pay daycare anymore.
I think that is all.
Hope all is well, Love ya!!
Merry Christmas!!
