4th of July and a trip to Wharton

Friday, Lee had a parade in Seguin with the bootcampers. He has started taking Brady with him for a little time together and to give mommy a break. He woke up at 5am and got Brady and Sam up. He had gotten Brady completely dressed when he decided he didn't want to go so Lee let him crawl back in to bed with me. When Brady and I got up, Cody was sitting on the couch watching ESPN. Cody is getting the age where alot of the bootcampers are the same age and Lee decided that when they hit 12 they can't go with him because he doesn't want them running into any of the kids they know. It's understandable. I spent most of the day cleaning. Lee and Sam got home around 2 and we took a nap. I got up around 4 and headed to Lockhart. A friend of mine and her husband are getting a divorce and were selling me their grill that they spent $80 on and used only once for $40. We had to take the 2 bench seats out of the van to get it to fit. She also gave me a 6 foot umbrella that has the stand. I took Cody with me for his "muscles". We got home and Lee unloaded the grill and umbrella and put the seats back in the van. By then, Jessi, a friend of mine from work had arrived. She made guacamole while I cleaned the corn. Lee got the grill going and we just hung out until dinner was ready. While we were eating we began watching a movie. After the movie, Jessi headed back to Austin. We had thought that the City of San Marcos wasn't going to do fireworks since we are under a burn ban but about 9:30 our neighbor came over and told us that the fireworks had started. We got our lawn chairs and sat in the driveway and watched.
Saturday, we got up early and headed to Wharton. We got there around 9:30 and went to Grandma and Grandpas. Uncle Shawn arrived about the same time.

After eating a wonderful lunch and cleaning up. we headed to El Campo to the Aquatic center. It is an covered swimming area with a spa, slide, floating bridge and a big pool on the other end. When we got there we had to wait 30 minutes because of the lightning. While waiting I got this picture, it cracks me up. All the boys lined up on the fence looking at the big house across the street:

Brady coming down the 80 foot slide. He was funny, everytime that he came down it, he was doing the longhorn symbol:

After having fun playing in the water, we all changed and headed out to the country. The boys wanted to see Papaw's cows:

After spending time in the country, we headed to a Mexican restuarant in East Bernard. It was Travis's birthday so we told the waiter and they brought him dessert and sang him "happy birthday" in spanish. This picture is too funny:)
.
We headed back to San Marcos after eating. We got home about 10pm. We all had a wonderful day!!
I took over a 100 pictures yesterday, but only posted a few.
Today we have been somewhat lazy. We took the kids swimming and then took our 1 1/2 mile walk.
The boys are sleeping and we are waiting for Ashley to get home from work so we can go to bed.
Hope all is well!
Love ya!

Grandma told me about your visit. She really enjoyed seeing everyone. Sounds like you have a good time. I know it made Betsy and Burlon's day to have the whole family together.
