Thanksgiving

We have spent the past few weeks getting the new place in order. There are still some things in boxes that need to be put away but they are all stacked neatly on one wall in my bedroom. I just haven't got the gumption needed to go through them.

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving!! Early Thursday morning (3am), Betsy, Burlon and Travis came. We thought that they would get here around 12 or 1, so the boys wanted to wait up. They called at 12:45 saying that they just left Wharton, so we all headed to bed. I woke up about 2:50 and waited for them so I could give them directions when they called. Cody & sam were asleep on the couch and loveseat when they arrived, so I woke them up (they begged me to before they went to sleep). Not long after, we all headed to bed. When I woke up a little before 9am, almost everyone was awake and Betsy and the boys had headed out to HEB and McDonalds. We got the turkey and trimmings cooking and waited for Mamaw and Papaw. We were all excited that Uncle Shawn decided to come with them. We all had a wonderful visit and Lee and I were excited to be able to show off the new place. Ashley made all kinds of excuses to drive that day. While waiting for Mamaw and Papaw, she drove her dad, Travis, Cody & Sam to Walmart. Right before lunch she decided that we needed gravy for the Turkey and potatoes so she took Travis, Shawn, Cody & Sam to HEB. After lunch, we visited for a while. Burlon went home with Mamaw, Papaw and Shawn, while Betsy and Travis stayed. Later in the eveining Ashley, Travis, Cody and Sam decided that they wanted McDonalds so off they went. They called a little later and said that they had changd their minds and went to Jack in the box. After they got home we all watched Evan Almighty.

We didn't do much on Friday, Lee went in to work and took some of the boys on a road march but was home by 12. Betsy took all of the boys to the Dollar store and Travis to Game Stop. Ashley worked from 8-5.

Today Betsy and Travis left around 10:45 and headed back to Wharton. Brady had a hard time with Grandma leaving and even went and got clothes out of his dresser so he could go home with her. I know that it broke her heart to have to leave him crying. I took Ashley to work (it is cold and rainy and she is not quite experienced enough to drive in this weather). I did some more cleaning. But mostly we have been lazy.

Tomorrow will be spent getting things ready for the coming week.
