Busy, busy, busy

Well, let me start by saying that we have had one heck of a week. This is going to be a long post.
Brady had basketball practice on Tuesday night. He did ok, I did notice though that if he is not the center of attention, he gets bored!! When he was running with the ball, he was fine, but when he just had to stand there and wait for the play to begin he started messing around.
On Wednesday night, Lee let Ashley take his car to the outlet mall. She met some friends out there and then went to Logan's for one of the other girls birthday. Apparantly the other girls parents were suppose to pick them up, but one never showed so Ashley being the good friend offered to take her home (we did not know this until later that night). She calls at 10pm and tells her dad that she is getting gas and will be home in a few minutes. Well, she calls at 10:40 and tells him that she has wrecked his car. He is freaking out and believe it or not, I am the calm one:) We almost fight over who is going to go the accident but of course I won. She is maybe 2 blocks from the house(coming in the opposite direction of where she should have been) and she swerves to avoid 2 deer that run out in front of her. She spins around in the middle of the road and then goes off into a ditch and hits a concrete culvert that is on the side of a driveway and in the process, she demolishes a mailbox. Luckily she was on the access road and no other cars were involved. When I get there, she is crying hysterically and the car doesn't look at all damaged(it wasn't until I walked around to the other side of the car that I see how bad it really is). The front and back driver's side tires are practically in pieces and the rear one is bent at an funny angle. There is maybe 3 or 4 spots on the body that have little dents but nothing major. I am on the phone with the tow truck driver when a highway patrolman stops in the middle of the road and asks if we are ok. I tell him what happened and that I had the towing company on the phone and he says ok, well if you need me I will be driving up and down this road all night. Whew!!! The tow truck gets there and the driver looks at the car and calls for a flatbed. We hung around until it got there. I just wanted to make sure I was there in case the highway patrolman came back. I was up all night with my stomach in knots and thanking god for watching over her. I don't even want to think about what could have happened. She complained yesterday that her back hurt and she has a mark on her neck where the seatbelt was but thank goodness nothing major. Well, I grounded her for a month from driving, not because of the accident but because she wasn't where she was suppose to be and I told her that she has to help pay to get the car fixed. She says she never wants to drive again anyway:) I talked to the auto shop today and so far we are up to $837. (We only have liability on Lee's car since it is a 97 and paid for, I think that I made a stupid decision and will put full coverage back on it since she does drive it) That includes the 2 tires, front end alignment, a new muffler(apparantly she wiped that out also) the tie bar for the back tire, the towing, some cables that are underneath by the back tire, something about the struts on the front and all of the labor. They haven't even really looked at the front yet. I am praying that they won't find anything else, but I also want everything that is wrong with it fixed properly.
Cody and Sam had practice tonight. When they got home, Lee took all the boys swimming and Ashley and me went to get groceries.
They guys are in there watching a "guy" movie, so here I am typing away:)
I hope that I haven't bored anybody. I will hopefully post more Sunday night and let everyone know how the boys games go tomorrow.
Love Ya!!
