Last weekend Mamaw and Papaw came on Saturday to watch the boys play basketball. Both games were at noon so it was very interesting. We sat in between the two and kept watching back & forth. Good thing they all didn't play every quarter. We had a very nice visit and enjoyed spending time with them.
We haven't done a whole lot these past few weeks. Brady's practice was cancelled on Monday and on Thursday only Cody went to his. They were playing football outside Monday evening and Sam jammed his big toe (of course he wasn't wearing shoes). So, Lee let him miss practice, he didn't want anyone to step on it and make it worse. Our last game is the 25th and they will get their trophies then. We got all 3 boys signed up for flag football and that should be starting in a few weeks.
Brady started back to daycare on Monday and had a real good week. I was told that his daycare has gone up $32 a month. Whew, I can't wait until next August:)
This past Saturday was the Longhorn fan appreciation day so Lee, Cody and Sam got up at 5am and went to Lee's work. Lee took about 16 of the juveniles and 4 staff with them. They got to the stadium around 7am and were given wrist bands with numbers. The numbers told you where you were in line to get autographs. They were all in the 300's. Talk about some diehard Longhorn fans. Needless to say, they didn't get home until 4:30. Brady, Ashley and I (she slept the whole time) just hung around the house. Of course, I did the usual cleaning and Brady played X-box. After Lee took a nap, I went to Jack in the box got dinner and we watched a movie.
Today I got up and went to Walmart to get the boys school supplies. It was crazy in there! I am missing a few things but I plan on going to the Walmart in Austin on my lunch one day this week to see if they have what we need.
On Thursday, Cody has 6th grade orientation. A bus will pick him up at 7:30 in the morning and take him. He will get his schedule, a tour of the school and meet his teachers. They will eat lunch there and then be brought home.
I called the Pre-K on Friday and was told that they have all of our paperwork and the Ladies that are in charge will be back on Monday and I should here something next week. If he gets in, we still have to pay full price for daycare since he will only be at Pre-K for 3 hours. Oh, well.
Ashley is doing good. All she ever does is work, work, work. She will have to cut back her hours once school starts.
Ok, I think that I have pretty much included everything. Hope everyone is well. Love ya!!
Merry Christmas!!
