Well, we got up before 8 on Saturday morning and all the guys went to get haircuts. We left there, got breakfast, filled up with gas and headed into San Antonio. The store that we went to, Steve and Barry's was really big. They had alot of clothes and shoes. We spent over an hour and lots of money. We decided to go ahead and get some of the kid’s school clothes since we were already there. Cody and Sam got their basketball shoes, but they don't have anything below a size one. On the way home I asked if everyone was happy and Brady told me "no" because he didn't get his shoes. We came home, took a nap and then I took Ashley to work. I took Brady with me so we could go find him some shoes and so we went to Wal-Mart. He picked out a pair of Spiderman shoes that light up. He has a thing for light up shoes. I asked him if he was happy now and said yes. Ahhh, the little things that make them happy. If only it was always that easy :)
Sunday we got up and had a lazy day. I did the usual cleaning, but not much more. Ashley was off work but went out to dinner and the movies with a friend. Lee & Cody went to Lee's work to fill out some paperwork and me, Sam; Brady just hung out. Actually, they played Xbox so I cooked dinner.
Monday, I left for work at 6:15 am, because this week is my summer hours. I can work 36 hours in 4 days and then get a 1/2 day off on Friday. I am also taking a vacation day on Wednesday so I have less than 4 days to make it up. I brought leftovers for lunch so I only took a 30 minute lunch.
Brady had basketball practice Monday night. He seemed to really enjoy it and didn't get distracted until close to the end. He then came up to me and told me that he was running "out of gas". The people sitting next to me thought it was too funny. Lee is helping to coach his team so maybe that is why he did so well. If you've been around Brady, you will know that nothing keeps his attention very long and he is easily distracted. He likes to do his own thing. I was very surprised and proud of him. He ran up and down the court and was actually trying to block the boy that had the ball; he even made a few baskets. I hope he does this well all the time. His first game is Saturday at 12 and Cody & Sam's is at 2.
Not much else going on...I will post more later this week.
Merry Christmas!!
