Monday & Tuesday

Monday evening I came home from work and Lee told me that I could do the honor of taking Brady to his practice. Apparently Daddy needed a little alone time since he had been home from work for 4 days straight with the boys. I took Brady to practice and then came home and cooked supper while the boys (Lee included) played outside. We then watched a movie and I went and picked Ashley up from work.

Well, today Lee left for work around 4am. Around 5 am I hear Brady say "mom" (yes, he still sleeps with us, I know, I know, you don't have to say anything) when I say what Brady, he says "I love you" How sweet is that?? Ok, so I think that he is going to go right back to sleep. I was way wrong... he wiggles and talks, wiggles and talks some more. Finally about 6, he dozes off and it seems like a few minutes later the alarm goes off.

OK, so we got up at 7 and took Ashley to her school for "Band camp". The boys and I then headed to Lockhart (about 15 miles) to an automotive shop. A lady that I work with has a very good friend who owns this shop and he told me that he would look at the van at no cost. On our way is a donut shop that makes the best sausage, egg and cheese croissants so we stop and grab breakfast. We get to the shop and he starts checking out the A/C. He puts about 3 cans of freon in and then gets underneath. He then tells me that it is the condensor and if he fixes it, it will be about $400 parts and labor. Not the news that I was expecting but........ I am looking for my paperwork cause I am almost positive that we bought an extended warranty when we got the van. Not that this will be covered because it seems like nothing ever is. We found that out with the last van, everything that went wrong wasn't covered. So anyway, I am calling the warranty people tomorrow to see what our options are. I know that everything will work out.

We came back to San Marcos and got to see dad. He had taken his lunch to run some errands and happened to call me and we were pretty close to the same place. After talking to him we went to the car registration place and got the tag for Lee's car. We got home around 12:30 and Brady and I took a little nap. By then, I was exhausted but Brady seemed to have caught his second wind. He talked for a while and a little after 1, he went to sleep.

I woke up before he did and got online to pay some bills.(UGHHH) I woke him up at 3 to get ready. We were going to visit his daycare and let them know that he will be starting back on the 13th. I talked to the assistant director for a little while and then took him to his classroom. When we opened the door all the kids started chanting Brady, Brady... he turned red and ran out of the room. It was too cute!! The director told me that if he gets into pre-k because of his speech that he will also qualify for Head start which means he would go half a day to each. Head start would also work on his speech. That would mean we would be done with daycare sooner than we thought. Whoa, that would be like a pay raise. Hmmmm, looks like I will be looking into that.

After the daycare stop, we picked Ashley up from Band and took her to the eye doctor. She received 6 months supply of contacts and a prescription for her glasses. I couldnt believe how much the contacts were so we are going to wait a few weeks to get the glasses. We stopped by McDonalds and got the boys and Ashley dinner and then came home. Lee and I went to Outback steakhouse for dinner for our Anniversary. It was nice spending time alone together.

We get home about 7:30 adn Ashley is waiting for us. She wants to take Lee's car, pick up her friend and then take it to the carwash and clean it. She will be driving to band on Friday and she wants it to be clean. Lee tells hers yes. I walk her to the car and keep yelling instructions to her even as she is driving away. This is the first time that she has gone out on her own. Oh, she got her driver's license in the mail today. I was a nervous wreck the whole time she is gone. She calls as she is pulling up so we can go see how clean and how good the car smells. She did a wonderful job!!

Well, I am off again tomorrow but will be up bright and early taking her to Band. I would let her take the van but I need to go get groceries and Brady has his first speech therapy tomorrow.

Hope everyone is well. Love ya!

So - do they know that your blog is pink? ha ha! Your boys would die! I am so glad you got a date night for your anniversary - and congratulations! 12 years is something to celebrate (although Lee needs a little kick in the pants for his comment!)! ;-)
